Less Than Six Months To TI
The International, known as TI8 is the biggest event in Dota 2 scene. TI8 is concluding all the tournament of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points right after TI7 ended. DPC points was introduced by Valve last year. The highest top eight teams will receive a direct invite to TI8. This Year, TI8 will be held at Rogers Arena, Vancouver. Event date was locked down early, which fall at 20th -25th August.
Although there is still a long road to go to TI8, Virtus.Pro is the most outstanding team as they just won back-to-back Major tournament. Besides, Virtus.Pro is already secure their TI8 first direct invite as the team won three highest DPC major tournament.
The current top eight highest DPC points team:
Virtus.Pro – 7195
Team Liquid – 4635
Team Secret – 4260
Newbee – 2175
Vici Gaming – 2160
VGJ.Thunder – 1665
Evil Geniuses – 1335
Natus Vincere- 1199
OG who are current at #10 on DPC and LFY who are at #14 on the DPC are now ineligible for a Direct Invite to The International 2018 and the Regional Qualifiers.
We are now left with 16 teams who are eligible. The road to TI is long and hard and we're only in March. #TI8

However, the current #10 OG, #14 LFY and #15 Complexity are ineligible for a direct invite as well as regional qualifiers due to roaster changes after the player lock down period. Therefore, these three teams have to play the regional open qualifiers against thousand of team around the world.
For your information, The International 8 tickets sales on 23rd March 2018 at 10am and 10pm PDT. There are two ticket types available, The Midweek ticket—available for $125 CAD—will grant attendance to the first four days of the event, August 20th – 23rd. The Finals ticket—available for $250 CAD—will grant access to the last two days, August 24th and 25th.
