League of Legends Beats PUBG in GameInformer’s Top 300 Game List



To celebrate 300th issue of all time, GameInformer published a list of Top 300 most popular games based on vote of readers. In detail, GameInformer is the famous game magazine in the US and the World’s Number 1 Computer and Video Games Resource.

In GameInformer’s Top 300 game list, League of Legends was ranked at 27th, while PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was ranked at 125th. Based on the game list given, it shows that League of Legends is more popular than PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) among the world’s players although PUBG become one of the hottest games in this year.


League of Legends

League of Legends is a video game that has been stayed with its’ fans over 8 years since it was launched in 2009. Besides Dota and CS, League of Legends has also gained a high reputation and achievement from eSports. Last year, the launch of PUBG has become a threat to League of Legends. However, the GameInformer’s game list indicated that League of Legends still hold an important position in the game industry compared to PUBG. At the same time, League of Legends become the Top 1 Free-to-play PC games by Revenue in 2017 with the revenue of $2.1 billion as picture below.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

Despite the trendiest game of the year, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) won 3 big awards, which are Best MultuiPlayer Game Of the Year, Trending Game of the Year, Esports Game of the Year. Although PUBG was the new game that launched in 2017, but it has successfully achieved Top 1 Premium PC Games by Revenue in 2017 as picture below.
